On this episode, I talk to Tia Ross, co-founder of Legacy Shifters, about teaching our daughters about money. For Part I of our 2 part discussion about girls and finances, Tia shares some tips to not only help moms start the conversation about money with their daughters, but make it ongoing through practical and daily application. Research shows that parents are more likely to talk to their sons about money than their daughters due to archaic beliefs that girls do not need to build their own wealth. Tia is helping to change that mindset through education and application that starts at home. We’re not only creating legacies as mom bosses, but we’re teaching our daughters to do the same.

Tips to Help Daughters Practice Smart Money Management
1. Take your daughters shopping with you and have a pre-conversation with them before you go. Make a connection between the things you’re buying for them and the actual cost. Don’t tell them show them. Make numbers real to them.
