Black-tie Babysitting continues to be a trendsetter when it comes to providing childcare. Hope Oriabure-King started Black-tie Babysitting to give parents an opportunity to enjoy themselves at special events. From weddings to fundraisers to corporate events, Hope and her team come to your event prepared to entertain your children while you enjoy the festivities. They are taking their childcare services to the next level by partnering with The Mix Coworking & Creative Space, located in East Dallas near White Rock Lake, to help mompreneurs manage their businesses with their children on-site. CEOMOM interviewed Hope to learn more about their partnership with The Mix Coworking & Creative Space.

Describe the services Black-tie Babysitting provides for The Mix.
We are a pop up workplace that brings everything including arts and crafts, games and activities. We take care of the kids while the mothers manage their businesses. Everything from having a conference to conducting day to day business, we take the pressure off the moms.

Describe some of the activities you have in store for the kids.
For summer, we have “coloring your world” activities that show diversity and its importance. There will also be an urban farmer who is going to talk to the kids about urban farming. There will be another woman who will show the kids how to spin and dye wool.

How many children can Black-tie Babysitting accommodate at one time? 
We can accommodate 30 kids at a time. Our ratio is 1 to 2 for newborn to 18 months and 5 to 1 for up to 11 years old.

Are you in any other co-working spaces in addition to The Mix?
Right now, The Mix is our only location. We are working to expand to other co-working spaces in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area by September.

What is the cost for your services?
Our prices are affordable. The cost is $15 per child for 3 hours. Our hours are 9am to 1pm, Monday through Thursday, every other week.
