Fun Party Drinks for the Kids: A Playbook on Healthy Alternatives

Spring is around the corner which means summer is near. With summer comes more parties and family gatherings filled with food, drinks, games and laughter. Whether you’re visiting friends and family or hosting your own party, chances are, your kids will be tempted by an array of sodas and sports drinks that typically permeate these gatherings.

While some sodas are technically vegan (watch out for those that contain trace fish elements and animal gelatins used as stabilizers), the added sugars many of these drinks contain can be addictive to young palates and a diet choice they’re probably better off not making.

Why not offer your youngest players soft drink alternatives that are made from healthy and authentic ingredients?

Below are some recipes for simple-to-make mocktails that will have your kids feeling a part of the festivities, while they side-step all the added sugars and artificial ingredients found in typical party refreshments.
